“The Orange County Crush is a youth baseball organization started by former Major League Baseball player, Danny Espinosa. Danny grew up playing on the Crush and was coached by his father Dan Espinosa, Sr. Life has come full circle as Danny has sought to create a baseball program alongside his close friend Ryan Yowell, with the purpose of developing Orange County baseball players.
Originally, Danny simply wanted to make a team for his son “Ty.” He did so, and the team had great success early on, forging strong friendships amongst the families that came together to create the new OC Crush. However, the public interest for a team outside of the traditional city-ran baseball leagues is at a fever pitch. Realizing this, Danny decided to expand the organization to include various age groups and new teams. Danny has enlisted coaches with extensive backgrounds in sports and youth development to create a full scale baseball travel ball organization.
The Crush is a year round operation focused on baseball development while still encouraging all of its athletes to enjoy and experience other sports. Danny believes that these proficiencies outside of baseball are not only good for the mental health of the players but also creates more well-rounded athletes in the long run. The Crush has a singular goal of creating highly skilled and respectable young men through the game of baseball. Practicing in world class facilities in Orange County, the Crush are fortunate to have a safe environment where kids can grow together and be given the greatest opportunities to reach their dreams.”
